Non-Magi Medicaid is the eligibility system for seniors (65+), blind, and disabled individuals, using different income/asset rules than the standard MAGI, (Modified Adjusted Gross Income – tax based) standards for most other individuals. Non-Magi individuals often need long-term care and are dual eligible for Medicare and Medicaid. This entails strict asset and resource limits and specific budgeting.
